A pub is for life not just for Christmas
Guildford Arms.
I went to so many great pubs in Edinburgh that POTM was always going to be a first among equals type decision but given my hotel was virtually next door, this is a more than worthy winner.Top marks.

"Good people drink good beer" Hunter S Thompson
12 new pubs this month, all in Chiswick, Ealing or Stockwell with only seven being average or above. One revisit was a pleasant surprise compared to my previous visit, so two POTM, one new and one old:
Duke Of Edinburgh
The Duke of Sussex
The Forester
The Fox
The Old Pack Horse
The Swan
New POTM: The Grosvenor
Old POTM: King Charles I

Probably had this one before:The Kentish Rifleman. We'll be going again later this month.A proper country pub.
"At that moment I would have given a kingdom, not for champagne or hock and soda, or hot coffee but for a glass of beer" Marquess Curzon of Kedlestone, Viceroy of India.
As it was my 40th, I had parties planned every weekend in November.
Huddersfield got cancelled due to yet another train strike, which left Manchester, Stockton, and Bolton.
I'm going with Ye Olde Man & Scythe in Bolton - beating Great Ale At The Vaults there and Marble Arch in Manchester.
Nowhere new in the last month,so an old favourite gets the nod.
The Wonston Arms.
