A pub is for life not just for Christmas
Kent:

"At that moment I would have given a kingdom, not for champagne or hock and soda, or hot coffee but for a glass of beer" Marquess Curzon of Kedlestone, Viceroy of India.
Short but select list:
Byatt's XK Strong*
Hop Lab (Byatt's) Hand Cranked IPA*
Abbeydale Moonshine*
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Any of these would make a worthy Beer of the Week with the XK Strong being a thoroughly decent dark ale and the Bishops from a fresh barrel and impossible to put down.
BOTW goes to Hop Lab Hand Cranked IPA. Hop Lab seems to be a sub brand of Byatt's and this 5.6% IPA was bitter, drying and hoppy. Excellent.
"Beer is food." Morse, Colin Dexter

Moor -- PMA * (keg)
Garage -- Stepped On (keg)

Got a "free" case of crafty Scottish beers from Beer52 which cost me £5.95 for the postage from which some of the cans on the above list are from (nothing special). The Animal and Thornbridge porter were both in fine form at Thame's noted Cross Keys and the Five Points passed the 3-pint test a little closer to home at my local. However, BOTW goes to this bottled behemoth. Strong as an ox with a bourbon-y smell and mouthfeel giving way to a slight vanilla aftertaste and a dry stouty finish:
