A pub is for life not just for Christmas
Strawbury Duck - Entwistle nr Darwen
Four pints here for my birthday. Glad we booked in (for food) as many got turned away! Probably best to visit midweek if you just want a drink. Right outside Entwistle station which is a request stop, it's a pub I've been going to ever since the 80s. I think most in the northwest know of it - always seems very remote despite being ten miles or so from Blackburn and Bolton. Stayed overnight in one of their five rooms to sleep off the beer and a couple of cocktails in Blackburn's Firepit afterwards. It's a bit Red Lion/Blakey Ridge ish.
Nine new visits scored at least a '7':
The Antelope
Bow Street Tavern
The Gladstone Arms
The Grosvenor
The Libertine
The Marquis of Granby
The Nell Gwynne
The Roebuck
Simon the Tanner
But POTM goes to an old visit:
The Kings Arms

A lot of pubs which relied on trade from local factories have been lost ,but this one has thankfully survived. It's totally authentic.

George Inn I really enjoyed this.Well kept beer, a proper pie and great Covid aware welcome.
"At that moment I would have given a kingdom, not for champagne or hock and soda, or hot coffee but for a glass of beer" Marquess Curzon of Kedlestone, Viceroy of India.
Didn't get out and about too much in November apart from a day running Si Everitt around North East and Mid Hampshire where The Wonston Arms was again outstanding, but I've nominated that several times over the years so I'm going to nominate a more localish and much improved pub.POTM is The Coach And Horses, not a world beater but a pleasant change.

The Berry, Deal on my third attempt to find it open when in the area!
Has to be the Tamworth Tap.
Way better than expected, great beer and an atmosphere more like the best country pubs than it's location in a former shop in the town centre would suggest.
