A pub is for life not just for Christmas
Squeezed in at the last session of the month,Kings Head, happily re-established under community ownership.
"At that moment I would have given a kingdom, not for champagne or hock and soda, or hot coffee but for a glass of beer" Marquess Curzon of Kedlestone, Viceroy of India.
Some very decent choices this month including those in Birmingham.
POTM goes to The Blue Bell simply because we had such a fun and convivial evening there.
"Beer is food." Morse, Colin Dexter
The White Swan.
Unvisited since my student days, and thankfully reopened after a very long closure I really enjoyed my PuG crawl visit.
"Good people drink good beer" Hunter S Thompson
Fanny's Ale House, Saltaire.
My first visit in around ten years and the beer was excellent. Slight rearrangement of the bar in the intervening period!
With a huge level of choice for this month, this was my favourite too, with an honourable runner-up going to The Old Coffee House, passed countless times over the years, yet not visited until the other day.
A slight favourite from the Birmingham trip makes The Bull my POTM.
"Everybody's got to believe in something. I believe I'll have another beer."
