St Austell -- Proper Job *
Timothy Taylor -- Landlord
Thornbridge -- Jaipur IPA *(c)
Modest selection but the same real ales were on amongst my mews pub crawl, with BOTW going to St Austell Proper Job in terrific form in The Queens Arms
Next week some targetted pubs around Hoxton.
"Good people drink good beer" Hunter S Thompson
Modest week for variety:
Barsham Golden Close
Adnams Ghost Ship*
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
Castle Rock Elsie Mo*
Several Bishops helped ease the pain and tension of the Lions match but BOTW goes to Castle Rock Elsie Mo. A classic which went down well with Sunday lunch.
"Beer is food." Morse, Colin Dexter
I think it'll have to be the Bass I had in the Sun Inn here in Stockton on Saturday morning.
A mini crawl took me on to Hope&Union then Top of the Hops.
Blackburn and Preston next weekend...
A lot of good beers and nothing that was dissapointing
Cask
Triple fff Hallelujah
Church End Goats Milk*
Dark Star APA*
Tring Side Pocket For A Toad*
Northern Monk Eternal*
Abbeydale Speculation*
Wantsum Ekuanot
Slaughterhouse Boar D'eau*
Brentwood Falcon Punch*
Brentwood Marvelous Maple Mild*
Elusive Spellbinder*
Three Castles Tropic'ale

Stockport Chinook
Ascot Front Runner*
Saltaire Citra
Keg
Big Hand Spectre*
8 Arch Corbel*
Verdant Lucky Slurps*
Elusive Spellbinder*
Deya Steady Rolling Man*
The eagle eyed among you will notice I had Elusive Spellbinder in both formats in the same pub, both were good but the cask was superior to my taste Cask £5.00 a pint, keg £7.00, Aqualung will be spinning! But neither made BOTW , that goes to Verdant Lucky Slurps a 6.5 % IPA on keg and suitabley murky as well as very tasty in Altons Ten Tun Taphouse.
"Everybody's got to believe in something. I believe I'll have another beer."

My pick, for what it's worth:
The Stags Head
The Barley Mow
Christchurch and Farnborough over the weekend:
Cask
Animal (XT) Firefly
Ascot Princely Porter
Big Smoke Underworld*
Sharp's Doom Bar*
XT 3
XT APA
Keg
Vibrant Forest Mantra
Vibrant Forest Kaleidoscope
Barefaced Petrichor
Dark Revolution Orbital
Some interesting, murky ones sampled and taken away from Christchurch's Crafty Tap.
BOTW was from Farnborough's excellent Prince of Wales where I got done by not realising the guest beers on in the hidden snug, where I found my BOTW, but could have potentially found a couple of rivals, but hey-ho; something to remember next time we visit the in-laws.
BOTW: Big Smoke Underworld
Moby's heralded Ten Tuns Taphouse isn't a million miles away from the other half's folks' house, so hoping to get a visit in before the end of the year.
