Payday meant I was able to order some beers and an e-mail from Beercraft tempted me with their stouts and porters and an order for 14 x cans and bottles was duly placed. I'd also read somewhere about Sambrook's doing a Russian Imperial Stout, so finding these available on their website, 6 x bottles were commandeered along with my BOTW.
Its can had a front-end view of Battersea Power Station, and the info on the can didn't give much up other than stating it had "bodice, challenger, fuggles, goldings" hops. This beer had a nutty taste and drank more like a strong best bitter than a porter, although a slight dryness in the aftertaste, but was moreish enough and passed the three-pint / can test.
