Agreed. Last month I was watching for Cross Country Nottingham-Kidderminster via Brum and the tickets didn't come online until 3 days before travel! That's really poor, and that contingent drove in the end, but I wouldn't be going Leeds-Brum via London, blimey..!! I think I'd even be looking at a coach rather than that...

Looks that way, 5 days or less on weekends and 12 days or less for weekdays, I’ll hang on as a trip on an Azuma isn’t worth the extra time.

Don’t like coaches but very fond of rail travel and I fancy a trip on an Azuma, £30 to Brum isn’t that bad and includes a dire lunchtime in the Kings Cross / Euston area for a pie and pint. Who said being a pubman was easy?

If you read further down the thread you'll see that it appears to have been quiet most of the day. And House of the Trembling Madness likewise. I feel I ought to do something about this, so I'm splashing out on a day return (£12.80) and will be doing a Covid-19 Pub Crawl in York tomorrow. Well, if it's quiet, I'll be just as well off there as sitting at home. Due to arrive at York 12:38, departure booked for 17:45. Now, which pubs should I support?

There's a bit of a garden (quite a decent space after the extension) but it's not that Ludden so we don't crowd out onto the pavement in the North, I'm sure Shaun would love to be called the Landlady, he's a mean looking bugger, there is a Soup Dragon on the premises btw. *edit* The young lady in the video is one of the attractive bar staff.

I think I might join you in York, I'll PM or something. How about the Blue Bell as well?

It would be great to see you! Though we would have to communicate by shouting from opposite tables, I guess.
Initial thoughts are:
12:45 Maltings
13:30 House of the Trembling Madness, Lendal
14:05 Market Cat
14:40 Blue Bell
15:30 Phoenix
16:15 Swan
16:45 Golden Ball
Haven't checked if all these are open, and obviously I'd be open to sensible suggestions.

A good list no quibbles from me, York being on T2 things might be odd but being York you always have an alternative. My train is allegedly due in at 12:22.

OK, so you'll have time for one in the York Tap if you feel so inclined! I'll see you in the Maltings unless I hear from you to the contrary. (I've sent you a PM with my phone number.)
