A pub is for life not just for Christmas
Vocation - Smash and Grab. Again...
Some competition for it this week as I'm due a delivery of 36 cans of Jaipur
Saltaire - Cascade. (b)
'And where he supped the past lived still. And where he sipped the glass brimmed full' John Barleycorn, Carol Ann Duffy.
Another reasonable week:
Tiny Rebel Clwb Tropica*
Marble/Donzoko Wit-Ness The Citrus
Thornbridge Jaipur IPA
Braybrooke Smoked Lager
Marble Berimbolo*
Northern Monk Heathen IPA*
Marble Earl Grey IPA*
Marble Stout*
Yeastie Boys Gunnamatta*
Marble Lagonda IPA*
Thornbridge Pink Grapefruit Halcyon IPA*
Marble Cross Collar*
A largely excellent selection although the Jaipur, which I enjoy on cask, didn’t shine in this company.
The Berimbolo has been flying down again with the warm weather but as I’ve picked it before BOTW goes to Marble Cross Collar. A 5.2% west coast pale which did a very good job of slaking a sunny Saturday afternoon thirst.

Hawkeshead -- Red (b)
Howling Hops -- House IPA (c)
Vocation -- Love & Hate (c)
Vocation -- Life & Death (c)
BrewDog -- Elvis Juice (c)
Howling Hops (collab. with Pressure Drop) (c) -- Lost in Control
I have been lucky to be able to source so many hoppy and strong IPA style beers, which suits my palate and so first among equals for BOTW was Howling Hops Lost in Control, lots going on and didn't drink like 8.2%.

Notables this past week were..
Five Points JUPA
London Beer Factory Hazy Days
Magic Rock Saucery
Magic Rock Dark Arts
Vocation Life & Death
Vocation Love & Hate
Wiper And True Milk Shake Stout
BrewDog Elvis Juice
Thornbridge Jaipur
All very good, at the top I can't really split Vocation Love & Hate and Wiper & True Milk Shake Stout, I'll just go with the 7.2% Vocation, purely on the wow factor on the first sip.
