I think that nowadays people tend to refer to London & the South East rather than London & the Home Counties. I don't know if the formation of Greater London with the scrapping of Middlesex had any bearing on it. You still hear of Wembley Middlesex or Romford Essex. Wembley has a Harrow postcode which hardly seems right as it's arguably more important than Harrow.

On list 1 I've just been to Ashby & Loughborough.
On list 2 I've been to Hinckley, Shirley (just the JDW), Shepshed (over 40 years ago) & Beeston.
On List 3 I've been to Swadlincote (just the JDW), Tutbury, West Bromwich (the JDW & Holden's pub shown) & Coalville (just the JDW).
They seem to have an undesirable penchant for Bass & Pedigree.
