The review of being able to watch planes majestically taking off and landing didn't imply conclusive side of security, old people go for food and watch some planes.

Getting ahead of themselves slightly after 5 planning applications refused or withdrawn for site at bottom of my road and no current application showing on Bristol City Council website.

The reason why I moved to where I am now is because there was a JDW round the corner, They were still a small London based chain of Free Houses then. They flogged it off with 4 others about 3 or 4 years later. It's owned by Heineken now and is a complete disaster, in fact I'm baffled how it hasn't been closed down.
Middle class Bristolians/Londoners in the surrounding streets don't want it hence the 5 year ongoing saga, Bristol Rovers fans can't wait. I'm indifferent but it seems I'll be having antisocial behaviour every night up my road and a parking nightmare, although I have a drive, from the objections to each application amongst many other reasons.

I've heard on the grapevine that the Victoria Station JDW is closed. Whether this is for a maintenance issue or something else is unclear. If anyone is passing through the station then any confirmation would be appreciated. I seem to recall it had a recent refurb so one assumes if it is closing then it's down to a major rent hike.
I remember reading about the closure, on the dark side, a couple of days ago. Sounds chaotic, to say the least.
