Sleep disturbed with dreams of cask:

    Marble Lagonda
    Northern Monk New World IPA
    Marble Barley Wine
    Brew York Juice Forsyth
    Magic Rock Clairvoyance
    Thornbridge Cocoa Dream
    Magic Rock Cannonball
    Tiny Rebel Clwb Tropica
    Elusive Brewing Overdrive
    Marble Chocolate
    Marble Cubbio Damage

Largely cans and all decent. BOTW was Marble Cubbio Damage a delicious West Coast IPA which, at 7.2%, is extremely dangerous.

An epic beer week with the abv ramped up on many , but so very enjoyable. Tins, bottles and one cask offering.

    Elusive The Wasteland 11.5%
    Elusive Lord Nelson 6.8%
    Elusive Plan B 4.2%
    Tiny Rebel Clwb Tropica 5.5%
    Beavertown Lupuloid 6.7%
    BrewDog Triple Hazy 9.5%
    Wantsum Black Pig (cask) 4.8%
    Siren/Salt One Through Three 6.0%
Siren Nitro Caribbean Chocolate Cake 7.4%
Siren Caribbean Chocolate Pancake Stack 7.4%
Siren Sold My Soul For Citra 7.4%

An almost impossible task to choose one with three or four here that could make my top ten beers of the year but I'm going to go with Elusive The Wasteland. Just unbelievably fantastic, Finchampstead rocks with both Elusive and Siren dwelling on the same industrial estate.

Yet more dark beers consumed this week, with a couple of interlopers thrown in...

    Tap Social Jobsworth (3.5%) (can)
    BrewDog Dead Pony Club (3.8%)
    Blackened Sun Crossover (4.2%)
Blackened Sun / Beer Garage Lumière (4.2%)
    Blackened Sun Defector (4.5%)
    Little Valley Dark Vale (4.5%)
    Little Valley Stoodley Stout (4.8%)
    Sainsbury's / Shepherd Neame London Porter (5.0%)
Drygate Disco Forklift Truck (5.1%) (can)
    Blackened Sun Black-Out (5.3%)
Magic Rock High Wire Grapefruit (5.5%) (can)
    Theakston Old Peculier (5.6%)
    Elland 1872 Porter (6.5%)
    D&G Dragon Stout (7.5%)
    Guinness Foreign Extra Stout (7.5%)

Highlights of the week were sampling the 1872 Porter and the High Wire Grapefruit beers for the first time, having heard plenty about them on these pages and both delivered via MM Wines. Another highlight was visiting the Blackened Sun brewery in north Milton Keynes which I'd read about here via the PuG Blog Tracker. All beers contain Belgian yeasts and although the 10% stout I was after had run out, and their Christmas beer—a chocolate and raspberry imperial milk stout—is still a couple of weeks away, due to a 'Black Friday Special', I was able to pick up 13 bottles from their range for under £25.

I'm impressed with the beers sourced by other contributors to the thread ,I have been tardy relying solely on cans from my local Tesco.

    Thornbridge -- Jaipur IPA
    BrewDog -- Dead Pony Club
    BrewDog -- Elvis Juice
    Vocation -- Life & Death

and BOTW,not for the first time, BrewDog/Evil Twin Roaster Coaster

Next week, after a spot of essential boating in Tier 3,I may have to frequent a bottle shop a little way off to get some quality dark ales.

    BrewDog - Hazy Jane. (c)
    Harbour - Antipodean IPA. (c)
    Purity - Longhorn IPA. (c)
    Batemans - Mocha. (b)
    Beavertown - Gamma Ray. (c)
    Saltaire - Cascade. (b)
Black Sheep - Milk Stout. (b)
    Oakham - Citra. (b)
    Stewart - Radical Road. (c)

Very pleasantly surprised by the Black Sheep. Wasn't expecting a great deal TBH, but found it smooth, rich and very drinkable.

Almost the same choice in Tesco cans for me, except Clockwork Tangerine in for Dead Pony Club - not had any yet, or the test singles I bought of Magic Rock Dark Arts Surreal Stout or Vocation Breakfast Club stout, both of which I look forward to, so my botw shall have to be Saltaire Cascade, nicely balanced and would likely have been sent ahead as my holiday beer if holidays had not been cancelled this year...

    Schlenkerla - Rauchbier
Brew York/Turning Point - Hazard after Midnight
    Roosters - Yankee
    Roosters - Baby Faced Assassin
    Lindemans - Oude Gueuze
    St Bernardus - Prior 8

An odd mix but mostly I have been drinking Roosters and Turning Point as I have lots of them. Next week could be more interesting as I have two beery Advent Calendars to work through as well.
