I was actually in the garden having a chinwag with Colin, and not locked in the gents toilet!

I second that,Pangolin drew up a very fine list of venues and was expert in guiding those not familiar with Pompey, such as I, on the most direct route between the pubs.

Thanks guys - pleased to be of service

it was entirely co-incidental that I happened to be 'refreshing' my visits in the area at the time Portsmouth was chosen, which gave me a head start. But let's hear it for Dave's mapping tool as well, which will be a great help in the future.

By the way - there seems to be a small incursion in the third picture at the Brewhouse!
On leaving the bar, I felt a strong blow to the back of my head. Turning round, I discovered it was the pavement

Seems you all had a great crawl in Pompey, even though I'm probably the closest to there I didn't attend because of walking problems and now compulsorily TT it could've been a temptation too far for weak flesh & blood.

The late running Brewers Tap in Milton has finally opened - just as well we didn't wait for it! It apparently has 4 cask ales on from £3.75 a pint, with crafty stuff going up to £6 for 2/3rds (a 7.2% stout). It's on the 1 and 2 bus routes for anyone that fancies a visit.
