    A very quiet week.

    Mc Mullens -- Country Bitter
Mc Mullens -- Rivertown Brewing Achilles

and BOTW Fullers -- "Gales" Spring Sprinter on decent form in The Telegraph

Next week a brief voyage to Jericho (Oxford) before the Brighton onslaught. Hoping for lots of contenders.

    Kent

Kent Brewery: Jester-The New Local 4.5%abv. Barley straw.I don't often use citrus as a descriptor, but it fits the bill here.Blackcurrants on the finish.Profits from this beer are financing the production of a documentary film about Micropubs.I'd say a definite shoe-in for next year's Oscars. My BOTW
Greene King : IPA 3.6%abv. Drunk without prejudice.Inoffensively old school.

    Another restrained week,
    Purity Pure Gold Hopback GFB
    Lagunitas IPA (bottle)
    Lagunitas Daytime (bottle)
    BrewDog Jet Black Heart
    BrewDog Native Son
    Howling Hops Riding Ale
    Dark Star Cocoa Nut

I am torn between the Cocoa Nut and the Native Son, both new beers for me, BrewDog Native Son edges it taken in the new BrewDog Reading.

    Another quiet week for me.

Electric Bear - Mochachocolata Ya Ya.
    Wilde Child - Ekuanot.
    York - Severus.
    North Riding - Mosaic.*
    Ulverston - Fra Diavolo.*
    Five Towns - Hello Spaceboy.
    Dark Star - Pale Ale.
Kelham Island - I Want That One.

The Mosaic was the easy winner, in what was a fairly run of the mill bunch.

    Taylors - Landlord
    Acorn - Barnsley Bitter
    Pheonix - Monkeytown Mild

Small World - Long Moor Pale
    Alchemy Ten Storey Malt Bomb
    Small World - Thunderbridge Stout
    North Riding - Citra Pale
    Kirkstall - Black Rose

Apart from a couple all good but BOTW is Pheonix - Monkeytown Mild sampled at the West Riding Licensed Refreshment Rooms in Dewsbury

    Not bad:

    Bedlam Smash
    XT 13 Pacific Red*
    Gun Brewery Milk Stout
    Silver Street Porter*
    Blue Monkey Infinity*
    Rat Coffin Rat*

It was between the very well kept XT 13, Silver Street Porter and Infinity until I bumped into BOTW Rat Coffin Rat.
An amber colour with a gently malty front followed by plenty of low key hops. Three pints duely sunk.

Northern Whisper Chinwag. A 5.6% IPA that is dangerously drinkable for its strength.

    Sampled in The Baum.
