Good timing for the Beacon; we arrived at that time on a Saturday and had to wait for opening.
Hoping to use the time constructively we sought out the famous local 'orange chips', from nearby chippy but, alas, that was closed too. I'm sure you'll fair better!
Good luck PuGers, one & all, for landmark tour. If only we'd managed to get 'beercam' beyond the 'what a brilliant idea!' stage...

i believe RAR has offered to get the beers in, young Venster.

I am looking forward to this - and longing to get back to reviewing again - have about 60 reports to write-up

After my up hill and down dale adventures in August, I have about 200 waiting in total now. Not done a review for two months or so...busy!!

There are 10 trains per hour in the evening between Wolverhampton and Birmingham New Street. An off peak single costs £2. The journey takes between 16 and 25 minutes, depending upon which service you catch (local or Virgin).

Careful, I don't think the cheapest tickets are valid on Virgin trains. I know our plusbus tkts weren't but, after a gallon plus, we jibbed it anyway.

Just pulled out of Reading BR, bleary eyed but on time. Faintly hungover. Hopefully catch Roger for some Spoons brekky in Brum...
