    Default Trivium

Having just posted a review of Dram! I find myself wondering how many other pubs use non-alphanumeric characters in their names (apart from the obvious ampersands and apostrophes, of course). I though the various Tally Hos might but they don't seem to be shown on here (maybe one or two need correcting?). I remeber that The Anchor Inn has a @ on its sign but is till just called The Anchor officially.

Anyone know of any other pubs which use !, ?, @, %, $, etc or maybe Greek or other alphabet symbols a character in their official name?

Any number of trendy bars tend to use @, The F@nt chain has a stylized one, plus more than a few pretentious pub themed restaurants. I have seen the odd ! but never ?, $ or %.

Greek letters? I vaguely remember seeing alpha or beta somewhere (apart from on Zorbas in Liverpool ).

I suspect they all might be somewhere on the list of dead givaways that this place is best avoided.

    So Bar & Eats

Well this one has really, but it's not in the name on here. I'm not sure I'm pedantic enough to ask Conrad to change it though.

Does a cyrillic B count? When The Rise in Battersea (now the Battersea Mess & Music Hall) became a walkabout it was spelt with a cyrillic (i.e. backward facing ) B. I reported the change in this forum on 19 Aug 10 (sorry, no idea how to include a link), but unfortunately Conrad couldn't find a cyrillic B to include in the title!
