Nothing wrong with dogs, it's often the owners that are the problem.

I know. I like dogs, but its their behaviour and so many pubs boast 'We're dog friendly!' as if everyone loves dogs. I've seen people have accidents tripping on water bowls and slipping on soggy 'doggie snacks'. A trip a few years ago to The Perch Inn revealed a problem with sleeping dogs, not with noise or intrusion but because one or both stank. Almost as bad as belching students at The Medley next door.

All too true, but people frequently can't stop their dogs from barking, even if they are stationary. And doggie bums on seats aren't an attraction.

    Nor many human ones.

There's a risk, but human bums aren't naked.

Must have had this, empty reserved tables where no-one has turned up.

Of course. I just sit there and if they turn up, they turn up and pubs don't seem to mind. Or move the Reserved sign to another table to double-book.

Stockport Wetherspoons yesterday. A cacophony of mobile phone videos and games being played.
