I utilised the Rats Castle in the late 70's when doing my apprentiship at Marconi (sadly now long gone, like most of Britains manufacturing industry), and whilst us spotty apprentices may have held fancies of certain events taking place with some of the girls from the production line, especially after the Friday lunchtime session, sadly I have to report, no such offences of this type took place in The Rats in those days...

Thanks to Old Boots for his Plockton [Scotland, and really oop north] reviews of these pubs, plus Glenelg
Been in them all, and have stayed in the Plockton hotel, although preferred the Haven, but all of this was over 20 years ago, so much will have changed, which is why I have not added any reviews, except the delightful village setting no doubt remains
we always used the Plockton Inn so seems things may not have changed too much
