Yes, but I would like to know how the review dated 26th July 2018 read before Quinno's suggestion that Al Bundy be requested to tone it down. If the "soft lad" behind the bar told him to "feck off and don't come back" just because he complained about the beer being slightly sour, it seems entirely appropriate to respond with a couple of "fecks" himself.

Any chance of a surreptitious audio recording of the visit, Al?

    Common sense prevails thankfully.

Just noticed Nev's name-check here , thanks BF but I did try it once, at a friends recommendation, at Birmingham's Old Joint Stock, where I temporarily (stop that sniggering!) lost my mind and accepted the offer of lemon with it! Horrible, with or without, I won't be trying that Blue Moon beer again...

BF's case of mistaken identity was a close call.

Oh Will, I don't believe you can possibly venture out with folk better looking than you?
    The Stoneworks

"when it was our turn, she ignored me (£20 note in hand, anticipatory expression on face, trying to make eye contact) and went to my better-looking friend who was merely looking up at the list of beers behind the bar"

    You're probably right, Jim.

Maybe it's just that he's taller than me?

    The Flintlock Inn

    ETA,
"A food-led pub that is so far up its own barrel that it can see its muzzle from the inside. There is a fairly useless garden and a reasonable car park, plus some wooden benches at the front from which to enjoy the traffic. .......leave it to dogless tourists who have more money than taste."

    Nicely summed up

Incidentally what a difference ten years make, raved in 2008, dire now

A steady decline, I think I'll go with ETA's take on it.

    Catch Corner

Love ETA's "Gangs of far-from-yummy mummies lurk around the front and side doors smoking"...…..I can picture the scene perfectly.
    Ok, maybe just for one......................
