He gave it a 3, which is like a negative score for any other reviewer - even the pubs with only John Smiths Smooth Crap tend to get a 6 from him.
The clue's in the review I think, "Food was being served on a fairly busy Saturday dinner visit.", I would probably agree with his first sentence judging by the whole review. My wife and I walked out a pub under similar circumstances.

Got that t-shirt. The Curse Of The Sunday Roast. Try getting chucked off an unreserved table "because people want to eat" and having to stand in a corner like a pair of Charleys with nowhere to put our drinks down. "We are trying to run a business you know." Yeah right well that's the last you've seen of ours.

    Mr Hatter

my arrival coincided with that of a large Christmas Pudding, which meant it took me a while to get anyone to serve me a beer. The bearer of the pudding informed anyone who would listen that it had been steeped in brandy for 18 months, to the extent that I began to form the opinion that she'd been similarly treated herself.

Both Moby & ETA, moby for this one "when it was a Yates pub and didn't think at the time pubs could get much worse than that, well they can and this is it"

But ETA prior is great as well

Both reviews give a clear steer of one to avoid at all costs

Thanks to Rex, we now know exactly what those two items of code refer to!
"...she smiled enigmatically in a knowing way at the mention of a handpump."

    Priceless.

Very good, especially the cross-sentence juxtapositions.

Oh, that's very good. Certainly raised a smile. His style makes you believe it's for your eyes only.

And when the spectre of pricing raises its head it's obvious we really do miss money. Penny for your thoughts on that...
