This has happened to me on several occasions, but I have never had the capability of capturing the moment on camera.

Steve C's review neatly encapsulates the reasons behind this pub's closure.

Having said that his review of The Windsor Castle in E5 which is in a very similar vein has not stopped this as I gather it, to have become a Craft Beer type of pub. Please be aware that I'm not having a go at Sreve C's reviews here, but given that both are in trendy areas, maybe the Britannia closed as it was a modern estate pub and the Mr O'Reiily makeover would just have looked completely silly (or sillier).

Rare sighting of a three-headed dog in West Bromwich. I presume it was employed as a bouncer, or perhaps to pull people out after they'd had fallen into the Slough of Despond. We must be thankful that Soup Dragon has extricated himself and was able to write his review.

Cerberus aside, anybody know why this pub has such an odd-looking roof line?

There are little attics, were they keep the bodies of foolish passers-by that got too close
