Another nice turn of phrase from ETA describing the "hens" in this pub.Made me chortle.

Whilst planning for a Leicester trip, my drinking buddy came across this from the quill of Quinno - class. We are aiming to do this place because of this review - in a sort of Fawlty Towers way.

    Anchor & Hope

I liked this one from - a Goons fan? I do hope there'll be more from him.

Agreed ETA. Just shows that not all one post reviewers come on here to moan. Let's hope his bike takes him to some more of these interesting places.

Funny how some pubs seem to be love 'em or hate 'em

    The Dog & Bone

Its a shame we are not still at war as this would be a great target for the Lufftwaffe.

    or

This is one of the better pubs in the area and I would return for a few jars.

Pleasant old-fashioned pub with a very good atmosphere. Staff very friendly. A good range of real ale and whiskeys. Small but nice bear garden at the back.

The Plough is my favourite pub in Worcester. But I don't remember the bears.

Perhaps it's a bar for the LGBT community?

    I like SteveN21's latest effort:

    The Eagle and Child

Unfortunately we didn’t get the booths at the front and had to sit in the conservatory at the back. But we were kept well entertained by a strange bunch all badged up on a ‘return of the ring’ Tolkien tour which gave me hope that there are bigger saddos out there than us pub tickers.
