This one from Al Bundy really made me laugh:
"A basement bar that is allegedly an Irish American themed place. The only thing Irish about it is that it sells Guinness. The only thing American about it is that its crap."

Scruffy Murphys

I thought the Scruffy Murphy's chain had gone to the wall many moons ago. I remember drinking in Alice House when it was a branch back in the '90s.

Yeah, I think most of them died out late 90's/early 00's. However, the one Al visited is a new bar with no links to the former chain.

Thorn Tree Inn, "we were requested not to wake a baby sleeping in a pram", what?, wow! in a pub?
Positive review from Blue Scrumpy but, without wanting to appear mean (or meaner than I am), a policy restricting customer interaction because an infant is sleeping is just wrong.

Best let sleeping babies lie. Better that than the screaming one I encountered at The Goose.
