Redhill... Remarkably generous about the Wetherspoons, must have been one of its better days. I'm convinced there's some sort of force field round the Garland which insulates it form the rest of the town.

    From the Bonser

Against this background, somewhat surprisingly, I didn’t recall seeing a single framed photo or print anywhere inside relating to either the pub or the town of Dorking itself. Commenting to a fellow customer on this and that I could therefore be anywhere, I received the Trigger – like response, without any hint of irony or sarcasm at all, that “you’re in the Kings Arms in Dorking, mate”.

    A nice one from Strongers:

I arrived just after 11am so the pub was empty, but I still found the toilets to be very stinky. In fact I had to drop off some excess baggage and I think they smelt better when I left than they did when I arrived.

    from Al Bundy

    Recession Bar

You know you have a drink problem if you drink in here. Handy if you have no sense of taste or smell.

    Another one from from AB

"Closed. Now a drop-in place for the homeless. Much like when it was a pub".

Anyone having the misfortune to have visited Farnborough, (The Prince of Wales apart,) will enjoy the irony of Steve C's description on the location of The Victory Pub And Kitchen.
"Located on the edge of Farnborough's inspirational quarter",
"Everybody's got to believe in something. I believe I'll have another beer."
