A few intresting beers so far this week ,

Ministry of Beer - Dark Arts
    Stonehouse - Station Bitter
    Cairngorn - Trade Winds
Wrekin Havoc , the house beer at the Wrekin Inn , no idea who brews it
    Saddlers - Red House

I am sure some Castle Rock or Blue Monkey beers will be on the list by the end of the week

Disappointed not to make it to Nottingham, hopefully the trains didn't ruin a great day.
A small but, almost, perfectly formed list this week:

    Oakham Bishops Farewell
    Dark Star American Pale Ale
    Great Oakley Gobble
    Small Paul's Elder Sarum
    Tring XL IPA

All very good with the exception of the IPA sadly. BoTW goes to Great Oakley Gobble, a best bitter style with a touch of sweetness at 4.5%.

I was sorry to miss the Nottingham extravaganza, but glad everyone had such a cracking time. Is this thread a bit short this week because of memory loss? Not many interesting beers for me this week:

    Dark Star - Festival
    Roosters - Wild Mule
Cropton - Blackout (almost a BABOTW)
    Surrey Hills - Shere Drop
    Cottage - Jurassic Bark

Dark Star get it again with Festival, drunk in the Lamb, Surbiton, though the Wild Mule and Jurassic Bark were pretty impressive as well

Not so much memory loss as spoiled for choice I think. After much thought I'm going for an old favourite but surprisingly not one from Nottingham

    Acorn Old Moor Porter.

My beer of the week will come from Nottingham trip as it was our first trip out after Egham.

    The beers we had were:
    Castle Rock Tern
    Castle Rock Redstart x 3
Castle Rock Screech Owl. Disappointed in this as I rated it as a favourite of theirs, but this did not meet expectations.
    Castle Rock William "Bendigo" Thompson
Abbeydale Beer Works Dr Morton Rubrication
    Grafton Encore
    Blue Monkey Magic
    Liverpool Organic Jade
    Fyne Jarl
    Kelham Island Bud Ekins
    Blue Monkey Evolution
    Greene King Abbot Reserve
    Nottingham EPA
White Rose Guaranteed Sunshine/Drink to the Dregs.
    Acorn Embers
    Mallard Duck n Dive
    York Guzzler

As we had 3 Castle Rock Redstarts over the day, reckon I can safely say that was BOTW although the White Rose in the Salutation was another I could have had a session on.

Thanks Gill for the reminder of some of the beers I sampled but failed to note down.I also had a very fine Oatmeal Stout somewhere ,BG Sips was as good as ever but BOTW for me was Fyne Ales Jarl, which was bursting with taste and very memorable for a 3.8% ABV.My first experience of Fyne Ales and I hope not my last.

The Oatmeal Stout was in the Hand & Heart which is why it's not noted by Gill.
A fine drink it was, but notes at home so can't check who it was from..
