On a bottled note, I've got a couple of bottles of Old Dairy Gold Top awaiting my attention. OD is a new micro based on a farm a few miles from me. Haven't seen their beer on draught yet, though. Blogger Ed of Ed's beer site is the brewer , I think.

Just got back from the Asda & Aldi run and noticed that Aldi are offering a 4 x500ml bottle 'Beers of Character' box set for £4.99. Contains one each of the following:

    Hobgoblin 5.2% (Ruby)
    Wychcraft Ale 4.5% (Blonde)
Scarecrow Ale 4.7% (Golden Pale Ale)
    Goliath 4.2% (Ruby)

Can't say Wychwood beers are my favourite, but not a bad price at £1.25 per bottle. Just passing it on for what it's worth.

Hmmm. Was actualy a little disappointed. Good, but not great. Bottled Wold Top 'Gold', for one, gives it a sound thrashing.

Compared with what I had to pay for a pint of Spitfire at Biggin Hill airshow yesterday it is a steal

£3.70 at the show, but then I did exspect and anticipate high prices as captive audience

As part of their Independence Day promotion, Aldi are selling Sierra Nevada Pale Ale at £1.29 per bottle. Definitely having some of that!
