No wonder they are not doing well!!!
Even years ago when people swore by them I thought they were expensive and overrated.

Wow! Must they? Tesco have 2x4 packs for £9, so £1.12 per can.
Earlier mention of Tesco offers made me look there- didn't see 'Crate' brewery, but they do have some better options (than Guinness) in the 2x4 cans section (you can mix-match one 1x4 with a different 1x4), eg some BrewDogs, incl Elvis Juice which I think has some support here? https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-G...ions/A32637015

Good point and it's coming to Wales next year. I bet the English supermarkets in places like Carlisle do a roaring trade. I've noticed Scottish JDWs don't have multi-buys on their drink menus.

They've all gone from my one although the price tags are still there. I managed to get a dozen IPAs of which 11 are currently left.

Morrisons have Brakspear Oxford Gold down from £1.75 to £1 at the moment.
On leaving the bar, I felt a strong blow to the back of my head. Turning round, I discovered it was the pavement

Lidl craft ale festival is on from tomorrow. Quite a big selection including :

    Black Sheep - Venus & Mars - 4.5%
    Robinsons - One Eye'd Jack - 5%
    Robinsons - Beardo - 6%
    Brewdog - Elvis Juice - 6.5%
Innis & Gunn - Mangoes on the run - 5.6%
    Vocation - Heart & Soul - 4.4%
    Oakham - Citra - 4.6%
    Loch Lomond - Bravehop - 6%
    Brains - Point Break - 4.5%
    71 Brewing - Passion Killer - 4.2%
    Black Isle - Altstadt - 4.8%
    Shepherd Neame - Double Stout - 5.2%
    Felinfoel - ESB - 4.6%
    Skinners - Betty Stoggs - 4%
    Robinsons - Trooper - 4.7%
    Oakham - Bishops Farewell - 5%
    Wychwood - King Goblin - 6.6%

A few decent beers in there and a couple I haven't tried before! It is a bit of pot luck as to what your local branch will stock so good hunting!

I managed to pick up one of everything I haven't tried before, and duplicates of ones I know I have enjoyed previously.

A few in the list have been in previous Lidl beer festivals, some have been better than others but for the price they are worth a punt I think.

Happily my local branch had the full range in last Thursday so I got all the ones I hadn't had plus some old favourites. You can't argue with 15 beers for about £20!

One thing is certain - I don't like "sour" beers. I have tried a couple before and not been keen (One from Brewdog if memory serves). The Passion Killer from 71 brewing was awful - a passion fruit sour - never again!
