"The first brew, which is four per cent, is expected to be ready for testing by the middle of August and will be on sale by the end of August."

"At that moment I would have given a kingdom, not for champagne or hock and soda, or hot coffee but for a glass of beer" Marquess Curzon of Kedlestone, Viceroy of India.
It would seem there's another very talented brewster on the scene, Claire Monk at Welbeck Abbey Brewery. Tried First Brew at The Star (Huddersfield) Summer Beer Festival yesterday and was very impressed. A lovely pale beer made with Williamette, Cascade and Chinook hops. The brewery's only been a going concern since the end of May, but it's all looking good. More info:

GREENE King has launched a new beer to join its ‘Speckled’ family as today kicks of this year’s Great British Beer Festival at Earls Court.
Old Golden Hen is aimed at premium lager drinkers looking for more taste as well as appealing to existing ale drinkers.
It joins Old Speckled Hen but with a lighter strength at 4.1per cent ABV.
The beer was created by head brewer John Bexton and uses the Tasmanian galaxy hop and pale malts to create its light golden colour.
Mr Bexon said: “It is perfect for all occasions but I recommend that it is best enjoyed chilled with friends.”
The beer comes in 500ml bottles and will be on sale in supermarkets. It will be available in pubs from the early autumn.
