    Default Great Escape again

London Midland trains are doing another 'all you can eat' for £10 deal soon. Dates are Saturday 22 October - Sunday 6 November. Print a voucher off the website - plenty of availability (and I don't think they usually sell out completely).

Probably most useful for those of you on or near their network already but with a bit of planning, you can get a fair old way (engineering works permitting).

I'd endorse the bit about engineering works and suggest you check before booking. I was planning a trip on the first Saturday getting up to Worcester then overnighting in Brum on the way back. Then I found that getting back from Brum on Sunday 23rd involves two trains and two replacement buses.

I've printed vouchers for the following weekend and may do something then.

Website is still showing good availability for all dates.

Got an early start this morning and am now in the Postal Order in Worcester with the first beer of the day (Festival left over 10 Little Acorns) and refining my fantasy football team. Visits to the Plough and the Dragon will no doubt feature.

I take it that it doubles the minuses as well then? Good decision, pretty much like most of mine have been.

And again for the autumn: Saturday 20 October – Sunday 4 November. Might give this one ago, engineering works and last-minute cancellations permitting. £15 as in the spring.

And just £9.90 if you have a suitable railcard (including a Network Card or an Annual Gold Card season ticket).

Local news was annoncing how many London Midland trains were cancelled the other day for staff shortages, so good luck.
