You don't even find Leyton Orient shirts in Leytonstone on a Wednseday evening, especially when they have a home match.

Good to see all those there tonight - and even managed to get back via a quick stop at the Rack & Tenter to claim my free pint from those nice people at Marstons - but look out for Paul's review of the King William the Fourth!

Was a good night - great to see everyone again. Had a message from the Red Lion boss on Facebook hoping we all enjoyed his beers! Certainly was a couple of dodgy pints in the King Bill 4 - I hope that is not going to be a recurring problem as I have have not encountered it before from anyone I know who has been there. At least it gave us an opportunity to tick off another 'Spoons festival beer down the road. Managed to get home in one piece and even resisted the temptation of the kebab shop.

I believe we all stuck our names down for a trek around Carshalton at some stage so will have to get that sorted out once Nottingham is out of the way.

Well, yes, as I think we discussed: how to review without getting the solicitors round to PG Towers.....

A good night out, though, in so far as I remember it

I had a great crawl round Carshalton on 13 August 2005 i managed 9 one was closed, the locals in the Hope were slagging my home town off but light heartedly about the gun crime at the time.
I really enjoyed all the pubs in carshalton and managed to get 1 in beddington and 1 in wallingon before going to Sutton where i did 7 more pubs and i then ended up in Pimlico where i did 3 more pubs and ended up in the worst pub of the day the Lord Burleigh,i usually end up in a dive thats par for the course for me.

I hope you all have a good time there like i did.

Agreed, nothing to argue about there. Any beer can go off, but it would have been better customer service for them to have replaced your first pint. It had the small of rancid raisins - definitely not what the brewer intended. The beers I had, on the other hand, were probably a bit young...

If I hadn't been there and witnessed (ie tasted) them myself I would think you were crackers. Just goes to show that maybe we shouldn't always take previous reviews as gospel no matter how good a pub's reputation is.
