Busy day Quinno! Not been in the Water Poet, but am pretty certain I'd be looking at Pride of Spitalfields instead. Not much further from L'pool St.

Looks like a good day out to me. If you want a stop off at Bethnal Green, I would suggest trying The Camel. They do good pie and mash as well.

Make sure you time your visit to Tap East so as to avoid the worst of the shoppers. To get there from the tube station, you have to walk the full length of the Westfield shopping centre. It was packed on my mid-week visit - I dread to think what it will be like on a Saturday.

Ah, good shout but have already 'done' that one before, this is a virgin pubs tour. Mind you, should we be needing a curry later on the day!

EDIT - Yeah the Camel is definite I think, I had Bethnal Green written down as being on another line (duh), so I've added it. Cheers PSM

In the end the football was called off and the Supporters Club wasn't open. However I still managed to do nine others, including the Camel!

Quinno what time did you hit The Camel? Headed there in the week but it was closed 'till 4, are the hours more user friendly at weekends?
