We had a couple on at the Baum and we too were underwhelmed.

They phone up almost every week but we haven't ordered any more.

There are a few contenders this week, mostly from a mini crawl of Kingston prior to a gig there on Thursday.
Westerham Viceroy IPA and Roosters Yankee both went down well, but BOTW goes to Twickenham Naked Ladies, tried in the Canbury Arms, Kingston.

Well a weekend in Sheffield certainly gave me plenty of choice this week.

Welbeck Abbey Henrietta was excellent in the Bankers Draft. Empire Glorious was also very good in Henry's.

Sheffield Blanco Blonde was good in the Gardeners Rest as was Dorset Piddle Silent Slasher in the Kelham Island Tavern.

But BOTW is going to go to Abbeydale Hat Glue tried in the Museum. Light and hoppy but without the very bitter aftertaste that some very hoppy beer have.

Only had a few Pints this week KELHAM ISLAND PALE RIDER and HAWKSHEAD BRODIE’S PRIME so I will go for Hawkshead Brodies Prime as Beer of the week.

I'm a bit vague this week, it was something from the Forge Brewery, I think, and it may have been called Mr Handsome. But of one thing I am sure, it was bluidy good pint, or two, or mebbe more..........I got and a lotta stick from 'mrs rd'.

Forge brew a beer called Handsome and at 5.1% it wouldn't take too many to get you

Can I nominate Three Tuns 'Old Scrooge' at 6.5% ABV? Not a new beer of course but a very old 'un! I had two halves at Ludlow Food Festival last weekend having only tried it in a bottle previously. What an amazing drink! So much flavour to enjoy.

I'm playing catch up again. That week was particularly good with a couple of evenings at the Pelton Arms first Beer Festival in Greenwich throwing a few goodies into the bag. Choice of the week was the Castle Rock Black Gold.
