Thumbs down The Punch Clock, Leeds

I was in Low Rd this morning and didn't see this pub, I'm there again at the weekend and will double check.

    http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/42684/

I did see one called the Wellington further south-east along Low Rd but that's not listed on PG, It is boarded up but I'll photograph it anyway in case it gets demolished.

    Hi ob,

You didn't copy the link and repasted The Duck & Drake link, confused me a lot there , so glad I am not the only one that does that though . Anyway I have left The Punch Clock there for now, may even just be an old name for the Wellington? Would definitely appreciate the photo, as you say best to get any of these in case they go.

    Thanks for that

Whoops and I was sober .

I don't go to that bit of Leeds (Hunslet) very often. I didn't see any building numbers, I was at 7-13 Low Rd, LS10 1QR and the Wellington would be about 21, BUT I googled the Punch Clock and got the address as 2 Sussex Avenue LS10 2LF although Crusted Places has it in Low Rd LS10 1QR as well as Sussex Avenue.

Maybe the Punch Clock is on the corner of Sussex Ave / Low Rd further down opposite the Crooked Billet, the satellite photo suggests it is. I should have time on Saturday to look there.

Default The Hunslet Mystery - Case Solved

I know some of you have been waiting with baited breathe for this so here it is:

The Wellington is not on PG and is a closed pub.

The Punch Clock is a different pub, it is open and it has the wrong address on PG, the correct address is

    2 Sussex Avenue LS10 2LF

The Crooked Billet is across the road from the Punch Clock and is open, its details are correct.

Hunslet is a god forsaken benighted hole saved only by the unbelievable Garden Gate

    Alles klar?

    Hi ob,

We have corrected all the details of The Punch Clock (thanks for correcting the map point, that is the hard bit of sorting out the postcode at our end).

And all clear, thanks for that.
