A PUB has been banned from serving alcohol because one word was wrong in its licensing papers. The Local, a pub in Chartham, Kent, was set up under the name The Local Pub Trading Company Chartham Ltd in 2008. In 2014, landlord Shailesh Dixit removed the word 'Trading' from the name. But Canterbury City Council have now told Mr Dixit he can not pull pints because the licence is 'not in order'. Mr Dixit, 51, said: 'Talk about using a sledgehammer to smash a nut. It's unbelievable.'
