More like an injection of cash as I'm no longer just a coffin-dodger but officially an "old git".
I can't wait to blow my £10 Xmas bonus on Sex & Drugs & Rock 'n' Roll or possibly more likely in the local JDW!

I don't think the Tweed has been the Border (at Berwick anyway) since the days of Henry VIII. The Salmon Leap is of course the most northerly JDW in England.

Edit: I just noticed it's on the closed or closing list so it won't be the most northerly then!

I knew about that so was on the lookout for any signs but as is often the case there was nothing. I was there on a weekday morning and it seemed no less busy than any other of their outlets at that time of day but the rock bottom guest ale price must say something. Maybe Berwick is too small a town for an outlet that size, although the pub isn't exactly a barn.

Basically yes but I'm not including airport or NEC ones. It's great to visit other pubs and I tend to only do a "Spoons Rampage" in cities or large urban sprawls. With all the closures it requires a huge effort to work out how many I've been to and all I know for sure is it's over 400. My target for the year which is already looking a doddle is to have visited at least one pub for every English County in the JDW directory.

It is quite some achievement, I'm not sure there are that many pubs around that I would care to visit!

A great effort but I'm sure he will confirm he hasn't enjoyed them all.
