    Default Pierre Celis (Hoegaarden) RIP.

I've just read Roger Protz's glowing tribute to Pierre Celis in Wednesday's Guardian. Celis was the man who revived the Belgian 'white' beer style in the 1960s. However, the obituary also highlights what happens when the 'big boys', more particularly their bean counters, get their hands on a quality product. Obituary online here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandsty...celis-obituary

I'm not really sure if I ever drank Hoegaarden in its glory days.Accountants and bankers don't make good brewers (or any thing else creative...)

'hondo' I doff my cap to you. Once again you've highlighted a slice of fatuous corporate b0ll0ck$ at its most depressing.
