I've just read Roger Protz's glowing tribute to Pierre Celis in Wednesday's Guardian. Celis was the man who revived the Belgian 'white' beer style in the 1960s. However, the obituary also highlights what happens when the 'big boys', more particularly their bean counters, get their hands on a quality product.
