This certainly cheered me at the Kings Arms, Bromyard after a busy morning turkey wrangling and Brussel sprout wrestling. And a couple of pints of Hobsons of course.

Festive adornments I believe e .g. Holly Branches. In the other corner is a full blown Christmas Tree , a few suitable ornaments and streamers for the time off year decorate this bar and the one at the rear. But do not worry in the New year they will disappear and for a while the place will look drab.
I saw today, outside a green grocers. a small holly bush sawn off at the bottom . I thought what a waste because holly is not that fast a grower. A few years ago two ,ten foot holly trees full of berries in front of my stepson's house were stolen in daylight while they were out at work.
They probably ended up as twigs in a few Black Country pubs.

Far from there being a shortage of free range turkeys the local butchers are still advertising them as available. We have a local shortage though of Brandy Sauce powder mix. I prefer the brandy poured over the pudding neat but we have the odd Philistine in the family who wants brandy sauce. No one is depraved enough as to want brandy butter.Down the stepsons Christmas Day doing the cooking . I will enjoy that but hope he realises this piece of Midland built machinery will require regular lubrication. Its the same with darts, I don't operate unless I am half p!$$*d
