Unhappy Foiled in bid to for Christmas cheer

Today was my intended day to get the beer in for Christmas

However it has rained onto frozen ground, roads & pavements are sheets of glass, M27 shut, all the leaves, walls etc are coated in ice, very pretty & glass like, but bu66ered my plans up

Best get on your hiking boots and find a wheelbarrow!

phone the air ambulance, maybe they can fly some into you on the pretext that prevention of the breakdown it will cause is better than a cure

Yeah about to make my attempt at the food shopping, hoping that not too many others are at the same time.

I made a brief attempt at some food shopping at 9:30 this morning, lots of other people had chosen then to go!

Also the few shelves of real ale were looking distinctly bare, so I am actually beerless at the moment.

I was actually hoping to get my hands on a few bottles of Wickwars Bankers Draft which they'd been doing lately.

I have gone more than 48 hours without alcohol.. Must be some sort of record for me

I got 4 more hours before I hit pub with my old man then big days on Xmas Eve, Xmas Day and Boxing Day.

Oh Soupy... I will be in Pelsall on Boxing day.
