This is also going to be one of their hotels. The Old Borough which is the JDW at Swords will include a hotel from July this year.
If you saw what it's costing me for a Dublin Travelodge in June it would become obvious why all this commotion is happening. I was told by someone this week that some Dublin bars increase their prices by a Euro per hour as the evening progresses and I've no doubt that they start at a rip off level If the Eire JDWs do 3 Black Sheep Pathmakers for a fiver or whatever I'll get by.

When I went to Dublin in 2015 for a 40th birthday weekend of a mate,I stayed here, reasonably priced for 3 of us sharing. May be cheaper than a Travelodge. https://www.staycity.com/dublin/st-augustine-street/

Thanks for that but I'm on my own and so it's even more expensive than the Travelodge but it is reasonable sharing. I've been told that Dublin is a famous destination worldwide. I wonder what the new JDW hotels will be charging as generally they are dearer than the cheapest Premier Inn / Travelodge rates.

'Britain's most beautiful bank' opposite Royal Courts of Justice could be turned into a giant Wetherspoon pub

Let's hope they don't make it a Lloyds outlet.

    Default St Pancras Station

It looks like Wetherspoons are taking over the closed Marks & Sparks underneath the SE platforms at the station. I can't say I've noticed it myself.
Provisionally the name is the Barrel Store with an opening date of November 20th.

No doubt it will compete with the enormous The Old Bank of England almost opposite and The Knights Templar (JD Wetherspoon) a couple of hundred yards north.

This sounds like an excuse for Mr Mullet to go off on another rant about the EU and Brexit. I've never actually seen anyone drink champagne in a Spoons although they presumably do at Xmas and with private celebrations. Isn't Prosecco an EU sparkling wine?
Off topic, I don't actually like champagne and would rather drink the still stuff.
