That looks far too small for a new Spoons, however it would be a useful extension to the rather imposing former Assembly Room next door which has been vacant for some time...
On leaving the bar, I felt a strong blow to the back of my head. Turning round, I discovered it was the pavement

Was this really "without warning" - Wetherspoons seems to always have a list of pubs earmarked for disposal on the go, so assuming this was one of them then the manager and staff were surely aware. I daresay it is the customers that were not in the know. Clickbait journalism? Surely not!

One of the main barmen certainly knew. Apparently it will reopen soon without the JDW badge, but with the same staff.

It is alleged that the new menus have abolished the "Two for" offers. Not sure if this applies everywhere?
