    It also helps a great deal to have a manager or at least one duty manager that is keen on real ale. If you've got senor staff who won't even try a taste of the stuff to see if it's OK then it's a bit of a lost cause.

    I think the managers get to pick the beers.Kingston always has Oakham,Thornbridge and Darkstar beers which makes it a great pub.Twickenham has a more random selection but nearly always Itchen Valley plus Ringwood,Exmoor and Cotleigh.Know which pub I prefer.
