    Default Horsham area

    Evening chaps.

I'll conduct this conversation here, rather than through the 'Completed site release' thread, if that's ok. I've gone through the Horsham pubs, and created a new district of 'Horsham Town' which is awaiting your approval (or otherwise) - I hope I've got the gist - it was all remarkably painless and, if I've understood things correctly, I may well be adding a new sub-district to share a few pubs in one area of town.

Now then, I know you do have firm views on postal towns, so the following may go no further. However, The Wheatsheaf (39670) really needs to move out of Horsham. I would simply move it to Handcross, as it's just a mile or two outside but, as I say, I seem to remember that you may be disinclined to do this sort of thing. If that's the case, just let me know and I'll edit in within Horsham (there'll be an appropriate sub-district).

As for another pub, can you edit an address for me please? I'm not sure it's within my powers. I'd just request that The Bax Castle's (39625) first line is amended to "Two Mile Ash Road".

Suppose I'll have to deal with Crawley next, won't I? Then Brighton, then....

    Hi Paul,

We are indeed unyielding on the post districts, it is because we can look them up on Royal Mail and know we are doing them 'right'. It is somewhere anyone can go and cross-reference. The new areas can broach towns though so I see this pub is in Plummers Plain according to Royal Mail, if there are also pubs in Handcross that are in Plummers Plain they will show up as part of the same area when they are all added.

We have also corrected the address of the Bax Castle (not something you can do yet, one day I will get round to that one).

    Thanks for those.

That's ok - I pretty much expected the response on areas. Your new system, however, does allow me to add it to Handcross (just done that), as well as create a new Horsham sub-district of Plummers Plain (done that, too), so it seems all bases are covered. You really have thought of everything, haven't you? Including word capitalisation, which meant I didn't have to go back and correct the new (hastily-typed) district

Have a nice weekend at PG Towers. You may be in receipt of a bunch of Leicester photos in due course (or I could simply just go into the pubs and drink beer, trying to remember what it was like so I can tell everybody about it).
