Know Fox and Goose but not sure on others. Shard's End is dodgy place to drink!

My Uncle drinks in his local The Racecourse, Bromford Drive not far from Hunter's Moon. Have you been there? Never visited it myself

I went passed a pub a noted it was closed due to the several cracked and broken windows........ i passed it again later and found it was actually open. I had visions of a wild west bar, where people fly through the windows during bar fights - either that, or their darts team were really cr*p

Govan is Rab C Nesbitt country and not actually as bad as it once was, Paisley is a noted toilet, a couple of the bars (The Bull, Wee Howf) are quite good but be careful after dark, especially near the JDW. Haven't been in Johnstone since before I was 15 so I can't remember the pubs.

You win, this is well dodgy.

The Dick Whittington in Carpenters Park, Herts, which I visited just the once had a "reputation" (no picture or review I'm afraid) but like many others is an excretable estate style pub.

In spite of the steel shutters this one does sometimes open
Old Ropewalk, Liverpool. Many pubs in the 'Pool look OK outside and it's only once you're lured inside that the full horror strikes you.

I know exactly what Oggwyn means about Birkenhead, it should be twined with Kabul

Hey don't bring me into it !!!!

I might be in West Brom tomorrow so I might pop in !!

I think this is a dodgy looking pub in Brum - http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/37692/ . Having said that I did go in once and it was packed. I was made to feel very welcome so appearances can be deceptive. Not long after someone was shot and killed and the pub has never reopened though !!

    Cheers,

    Del.

Not one I would ever go into anyway, although I guess it is OK if you like these themed type of places

If you're doing West Brom, the Vine on Roebuck Street is probably worth a visit. Within walking distance of Kendrick Park tram stop.

Also, I would like to know what the Old Hop Pole is like, as thats on my next Midland Metro ale crawl for the future, ta
Just realised I breezed over this.

    Indeed,

Hi Danny - read some of your reviews around my area - If you want more Thwaites near Cannock, the Shoal Hill Tavern does a wider range!
