    Default Stupid place names

Following on from the ‘stupid pub names’ thread I thought I’d start a ‘stupid place names’ thread (not sure if it has been done before).

Blandford Forum is one I have just spotted.
There’s a place not a million miles from me called Effingham, I always chuckle when I see the sign.

To get on the list I think that the location should have a pub in it to count.

This one satisfies the criteria of both threads:http://www.pubsgalore.co.uk/pubs/65543/ an old haunt of Ian Fleming's, who was a local lad.The code for the National Express coach from nearby Deal to London is 007.I haven't been to this pub since I was a teenager, but am planning a visit. Bit foody, I'm told.
