Fair play to them. Feel sorry for the Beacon though, another year and another fall close to the line...

A fitting reward for all the hard work that has gone into The Harp over many years.Well done.

As Quinno says, the other finalists are fine pubs and must be disappointed, there is always next year.

A consistently good pub - the only major fault is that it's always so damned busy! Best of luck to them - they've all worked hard for many years to achieve this accolade.

Yep, well deserved - I agree that it's always packed, but the staff are excellent at seeing through the crowds for prompt service.

Just the Harp and (recently) the Beacon, for me.
    Anyone ticked all 4 finalists?

We have been to the Taps at Lytham. Really enjoyed working our way along his beers last year when we called while doing the Fleetwood fest. Missed out on going this year though. Also done Sedgeley Beacon, but didn't make the Harp when we were in the area a couple of years ago. So only 2 for me.

Two for me as well Harp & Taps.

Both always rammed whenever I've been in though, which usually means having just the one as it's so uncomfortable.
