"Molson Coors Wales and West managing director Martyn Cozens said: It's a relatively young brand. It has a contemporary image with the Cornish surfing and sailing which adds to the brand's credentials."

Hmm, I hadn't associated that "brand image" with Doombar. maybe M-C have mistaken it for something else?

Do they realise the Doom Bar is a treacherous outcrop of rocks off the Cornish coast that has been the scene of numerous shipwrecks and claimed many lives! Not sure surfers and sailors would be to happy with the association.

Maybe, but I was in a pub yesterday, the choice was Doombar or Flowers Original, now would any real man ask for a pint of Flowers? Much more likely a pint of Doom

    Which was my choice

I see Doom Bar so often that I would chance the pansy shandy even if DB is the better beer.

The Doom Bar is a sandbank at the entrance to the River Camel, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doom_Bar

Whilst I am not a lover of Sharp's beer, When in Cornwall last week the Sharp's Special was definately the best of the range
