Well week off work so a rare mid week outing for me and i managed a few pints in the Coach and Horses on a shopping trip to Shrewsbury with the Mrs
    Joules - Pale Ale
    Stonehouse - Cambrian Gold
    Ludlow - Gold
    Shires - Redneck
    Ironbridge - Citra
    Brewdog - Punk IPA
    Prospect - Blinding Light
    Ironbridge -Steam

The Joules was interesting it reminds me of Bass when it was good (long time ago)
Not that impressed with the Brewdog , not much flavour for a strong beer
Shires Redneck is in the lead at the moment a lovelly deep copper colour and very drinkable, plenty of flavour for a 5.5%

Three great beers on stunning form last night: York Centurion's Ghost, Bob's White Lion and Sarah Hughes Dark Ruby Mild. Definitely the Sarah Hughes so far.

A very quiet week and no further ale opportunities sadly. The week was redeemed though by my BOTW Blue Monkey BG Sips which at 4% is very bitter, pale and full of flavour. Another great pint from the purveyors of wittily named ale and they can brew a bit too.

This week it's going to be Rebellion Mutiny
I've just joined Alcoholics Anonymous - I still drink, just under a different name.

Hook Norton's Double Stout for me, a clear winner in a remarkable week filled with formidable opposition.
Dark Horse Porter, Jaipur, Abbot Reserve, Old Thumper, Fortyniner, Directors and Sharpes' Cornish Stout, I ain't been offered a bad pint all week.

Otter Brewery's Otter Bitter is my BOTW-a good honest session ale-bit of malt, bit of hops, nothing too complicated!New to me-the other beer I enjoyed this week was Jenning's Cocker Hoop, but I felt I could drink more of the Otter!

The Shepherd Neame Amber Ale is "drinking nicely" (as a wine buff might say) in the village club - good value in these parts at £2.50.

I have done 2 beer festivals this week at the Anchor and Wellington in Birmingham, and feel spoiled for choice from the excellent beers I had. New brewery - for me anyway, Red Willow Directionless 4.2% is my choice for BOTW as it was an excellent brew.
