It would appear that Nicholsons are having a Beer Fest between 20 & 30 January - 40 ales although the web page doesn't yet list them. I detect a 'Spoons style "do 'em all" challenge coming up.

Thats Nice it just happens to be my week off for working over Christmas & New Year.
Don't You just hate Pubs that say
( We don't stock any Real Ales as theres Just no call for it.)
Thanks for the heads up.The Nicholsons chain does seem to have made a big effort in the last year to improve the ale experience at their pubs ,or have I just been lucky at the Falcon ,Clapham Junction ? Anyway I will gladly sign up for this beer festival at the end of the month.
There are three Nicholsons Pubs in Leeds: The Palace, The Victoria and The Scarbrough. Will definitely pop into at least one of them, if I'm in the centre. Cheers.
'And where he supped the past lived still. And where he sipped the glass brimmed full' John Barleycorn, Carol Ann Duffy.
Had a look for Birmingham outlets, and Bacchus, Old Contemptables and Shakespeare - Lower Temple St listed.
There's only 2 in Manchester and they are the useless Bank and the hopeless Old Wellington.
It's hard enough to get a beer in either of them at the best of times as the staff are pathetic.
A pub is for life not just for Christmas
Just found this flyer which illustrates the 40 offerings in the forthcoming Nicholson's Beer Festival:

There's a few that have been part of their recent pool of guests but still plenty of tempting chioces. Anyone of us suvverners fancy a City/West End Ale Trail next week (Tues or Weds evening)
