Another very good reason to visit Edinburgh in 2011.Is anyone aware of plans by BrewDog to do anything like this south of the border?

That is a deal! & Still available for a midweek stopover. I recall a member of a group of tickers in the Market Porter once declared his favourite ale city to be Edinburgh.

If anyone does make it up to Edinburgh next year please report back on the effects of the Great Edinburgh Tram Fiasco. The last couple of times I've been up there Princes Street and the area around Waverley and Leith Walk have been subject to major roadworks and closures. I understand the City Centre work may now have been completed but there could be work going on at the Haymarket end. This is a project that sought to run a tram from Edinburgh Airport through the City Centre right up to Leith. Now running years behind schedule and having run out of cash they are having re reappraise.

This is likely to have an impact on the ability to easily get to surrounding areas although there are certainly enough good pubs in the City Centre and the Old Town to make a trip worthwhile.
I've just joined Alcoholics Anonymous - I still drink, just under a different name.
