Name changes in Harrogate

These are pubs/bars where the name has changed

Shepherds Dog 141 Otley Road now called the Harlow Inn
Dragon Hotel, Skipton Road now called the Skipton
Jacks Bar, Station Square now called Har Low Gata
Nags Head, Parliament St now called 19 Bar and Grill
Rowan Tree, Hookstone Chase now called The Tree

We have corrected the names of Harlow Inn, Skipton, Har Low Gata and The Tree.

We already had 19, looking at it I think the Nag's Head had become Wagamama, let me know if you think that is wrong.

Harrogate is one of those places where a number of bars keep changing names and it can be hard to keep up with what's going on, I'll pop in this week and take a look. Parliament St is particularly bad for name changes, John St is another - there could be some changes there as well.

I cheated and did a Royal Mail reverse postcode lookup . They are normally fairly accurate on names, but where they are changing quickly it can be a little out of step.

You're quite right The Nags Head became Wagamama, but as it's a Japanese restaurant it may not need to be on a pub site. 19 was formerly Yates.

Ooooooops, that is of course the drawback of using Royal Mail to double check things. I have reverted it to Nag's Head and marked as closed.
