Not keen on any of the above. I also find it difficult to drink out of a dimpled pint glass. They give me an ache from the back of my hand upto my forearm. Possibly a form of W****ers Cramp.

Long glasses used to serve continental lagers like Peroni etc, especially when my Guinness gets served in one.

Pewter tankards as well. As rp says, it does nothing for the taste, but also you can't see if you've got a cloudy pint, and it's impossible to tell how deep the froth is and thus if you need a top up.

Yeah pewter tankards generally I don't like, usually dispensed by a pub as part of some misguided medieval pastiche.

The only place I have been offered a pewter tankard to drink out of was a pretentious " cocktail bar" ( " Sorry Sir but we only serve half's. ") at the Garth Hotel ,Great Orme, Llandudno. This establishment was a pile of rubble some years ago so no chance of repeating the experience. It put me off drinking ale out of pewter mugs and over priced, up their own bottom's cocktail bars.
